Can't left click any more in Windows 8

I don't know if I did it by accident or not, but for some reason, whenever I try to click on a link or close a window, every time I try to use the left click button on my wireless Logitech mouse in Windows 8 on my HTPC, it won't let me do so any more.

I can still move the cursor and use the right click button to open menu's that involve that particular button, but I just can't do anything else that involves the left click button.

Before this happened, everything was working perfectly fine without any problems at all.

I don't know if I pressed any buttons that should have caused this problem in a certain combination by accident, but if anyone can help me fix this problem, I'd be really grateful.

Try it on another machine

or Remove the drivers for it and reinstall them.
or batteries

Failing that, if it's out of warranty, then just open it up and check it, cable may have come loose or something blocking the button.

I've tried it on my laptop and it works perfectly fine.

I bought a cheap mouse and that works fine as well.

In the meantime, I'll remove the drivers for the original wireless mouse and reinstall them to see if that works.

On another note, I'd like to thank everyone for the advice I've been offered so far as it's truly appreciated.

UPDATE: I can't seem to find the drivers listed anywhere in Device Manager for Logitech (the one that I own from them that's been suddenly giving me grief is the Anywhere Mouse MX - Link to Official Product Page)and I've found a driver that may or may not be the one for it or it could be the one for the one that I bought yesterday...

Also, I tried the Anywhere Mouse MX on my other computer once more and still had the same problem as well as on another USB port and that didn't work either.

EDIT: I decided to use Google to find out if there was anybody else who had any similar problems with the left click mouse button and there was a thread on the official Logitech forums and I decided to try out the advice given there and it works, although I'm puzzled as to why the left click mouse button stopped working in the first place.

Link to Logitech forum thread concerning said problem

If it works on one machine but not the other, it will be a setting somewhere. Check control panel, mouse settings (with that mouse plugged in)
