Can't run IBT

I've downloaded IBT countless times and every time I try and run the program I get the message 'This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the probelm'. It's not like I can reinstall it as it's not installed in the first place!

Trying to run the 32bit version on 64, or vice versa?
Where are you downloading from?

I've tried a few places but generally from guru3d.com, the notes don't suggest that there are seperate versions for 32bit and 64bit anyway.

Well within my folder which extracted, there is a intelburntestv2
and sub folders which contain linpack for x86 and x64

What version are you trying?

If I click on the x86 linpack icon, I get some DOS based pop-up and not the GUI I'm expecting.

Yes, its the .exe in the root that should run pick the correct version of linpak to run.
Unsure why it isn;t.
What version are you trying to use?

Runtime was the culprit, I thought it might have been that last night after I re-read the readme but I ended up playing Dead Space and forgot about it Thanks for your help anyway fellas.

So what is considered 'stable' when using this test then? 10 runs or high or something??

I usually choose 20 runs, although sometimes 25 runs.

Just done 10 runs on standard settings with ibt, passed successfully. As im currently on xp home 32 do i have to manually select the amount of ram i wish to test, as standard doesnt seem to use all available ram.

Select 'custom' and then enter the value as the maximum amount of RAM that you have available.

I had the exact same problem when I first tried to use IBT, do what Big.Wayne said, that will sort the problem...
