cant wait for this

overpriced aye most definitely but look at other razer gear, they make good stuff apart from the naga that was just a lump of plastic. i think it will mostly be wow fans. loved the way they changed the keyboard to action bar icons.

^ engadget said WoW looked 'impressive and while gameplay wasn't perfectly smooth on the prototype it was more than playable'

in general they seem pretty pleased with it, here's the article if you want to read it http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/06/razer-switchblade-preview-3g-intel-oak-trail-almost-definitel/

also for price I can't see it being too bad with netbooks being in the £250 range, it can't cost that much to make it smaller and add a touchscreen and a keyboard/screen thing

INTENSE

Gotta love marketing. :rolleyes::p

Don't see much point in having pretty pictures on the keys when you never really look at them much when gaming. After 20minutes of getting used to control layouts your hands know what key is what, and if they are targeting serious wow and mmo players its even more so the case, I'm sure most of them could play blindfolded.

Will probably end up being a slightly expensive, slightly gimmicky, above average performing netbook.

i cant see WoW working too great ...

With a 1024 x 600 res screen it may run quite well on it. But I think towards the end of this year I will be bagging myself a tablet as will many other so this device may get overlooked/overshadowed.

The thing that will probably make it expensive is the OLED keyboard if they decide to keep it.

I am really interested in what the finished product looks like, could be quite incredible.

^ it's LCD not OLED, so it shouldn't be too expensive, I'd be more worried about extra power usage.

if someone from Razer reads this, make the standard version with a basic keyboard not a flashy one like this, lower cost, thinner/larger battery/storage = more people will buy it, putting a USB slot on each side would be a good idea as well for left and right handers

Personally i think it looks great and would expect it to have a market with mmo players.

Being an ex wow addict semi-hardcore endgame raider i am 99% sure people will not use it for raiding, the screen is just about big enough for some raid frames and if your lucky a damage meter, that would fill the whole screen. But I can see its uses for outside of raid time, if you want to do some farming or level an alt on the way home on the train or just play the auction house etc.

I also like the key overlays idea. Granted if your raiding or doing pvp at any serious level u know exactly which button to press without even thinking but it would be great for trying new specs using offspecs or just playing an alt you have not played in ages.

However having said that I would probably just get a laptop.

yeah seems a bit pointless to me too. everything it does it wont do well, and it's core feature which is portability it wont do any better then its competition.

one thing that interested me was the changing keyboard but as some one has said it doesn't take long to learn the keys and then it's not better then a normal one but more expensive and uses more battery power e.g. i don't need a picture of a hand gun for 1, a machine gun for 2, a sniper for 3 etc as i know that's what they do, then playing sims i know z will spin etc
