Cant write to bios

Just build a new sytem around an ASUS p5k premium. It all works great except when I try to change anything in bios. It rejects is and on boot asks to reset to default.

Ant ideas?

What are you trying to change? can you do simple things like change time/date?

I can only do that. Nothing else will change. The BIOS recovery comes in every time

Dont know tbh, maybe theres some kind of lock on it to prevent people from messing? Is there an 'enable bios writing' option?

Im sure someone will be along soon enough who has one of these mobos.

Ok. Flashed it and now it works. Trying to get the multiplier to stay at 9 now. Keeps dropping to 6

Is that the same as C1E? Been searching. Seems it is best left on????

Yeah SpeedStep/C1E/etc it's the same thing, it turns the multiplier down to lower clock speed and save power when the system isn't doing anything stressful.
