Cantcompleteagameitus

I have this problem, i always have to finish games in a couple of days or i will lose interest. Same for TV shows like the shield, sarah connor, heroes but then every so often i go back to them. its weird

Thanks for the input.

I know mirrors edge is so short. I nailed most of it on christmas day on the xbox put it down and never picked it up again :(

I think the only game I have completed was "Zelda: Ocarina of Time" on the N64.

Had to use the guidebook too!

when I was younger I didn't have much money to get games so I had less of them and picked them better.

I think this sums up a lot of it, I remember when N64 games were pushing £50 a pop at one point, so it was worth reading magazine reviews, and at the end of the day I only had 5 or 6 games for it so I obviously spent much longer hacking away at the harder parts of games.

Now if I find im not enjoying a game so much, I'll leave it a while, pick it up a bit later perhaps, and eventually sell it on if I dont like it.

With TV series, I find I enjoy the first one or 2 (Heroes, 24) but then just lose interest in the characters, and the plot. I never abandon a film unless its complete and utter tripe though. (like Pineapple Express the other day, utterly terrible)

Im glad to see im not the only one that has this problem.

I feel the comment skyfall made about picking games better could be true, however the trouble is so many reviews and sources are bias now with reviewing games tech and pretty much anything. And no matter how much you read up on something your opinion will always differ from that of the reviewer.

maybe i should really start getting back into downloading demos etc

I suffered this for years, recently finally done all of half life! :D (10 years on and off not finishing it).

Never had this problem with old school point and clicks but always suffered it with console games (i think iv finihed maybe one or 2 games completally on my N64)

Still havnt sat down to the the last half of the sopranos either but that will be good....

Sheesh give the guy a break... I swear some forums members spend half of their posts (if not more) complaining about other posts, being pedantic... not to mention increasing their post counts in the process

I used to take great pride in taking my time to complete a game, not rushing it... making it last, you know? Now I rarely finish them due to lack of time. I have a hectic life and the time between gaming sessions is so long sometimes, I loose interest.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R... (not Clear Sky) is one game I have attempted four times to complete. Each time with a variery of mods etc to enhance the original game. I get as far as the 100 rads bar, do a couple of quests... then nothing for months. I still have the saves somewhere.

Fallout 3 is a recent example. I absolutely loved that game. I stopped playing a few months ago due to lack of free time and now I'm just not bothered.

Maybe I'm getting old?!! (26???) lol.

I think the only game I've ever completed was Metal Gear Solid 2 on PS2 and damn was that an effort. For games like GTA where there's an element of exploration and random events, I just progress until I can wander around everywhere and then get completely side-tracked from the missions.

Haven't played a game where I wanted to finish it in years.

// EDIT // On more thought, I've also completed FFX and a couple of Crash Bandicoot games :o

50/50 for me, some games I just get bored half way through even though I'd like to finish them. Bioshock being a prime example :(

Lol thanks im sure the guy trolling just wanted to seem cool infront of the ocuk hivemind.

I feel that maybe age does have something to do with it though. Im getting older now (if you can call 21 old) and i feel that maybe im out growing certain things (as much as i dont want to) i just feel that they are not holding my attention as much as they should be.

Im the same cant complete games, the only one I did without cheating was condemned on xbox360. TV I skip threw bits that make me cringe. I honestly cant watch anything like comedys as I skip them all.

OMG I iz not normalz :(

Is this that you find them too difficult or is it an issue of not having enough time? Or do they simply not compel you to complete them?

if i find a game interesting ill finish it, if not, then for gamerscore :D or online
games like far cry 2 dont apply to the above simply because its boring -.-
