Capital One Cup - Fourth Round 30/31 October *** Spoilers ***

He added: "Young centre-backs have to be really top drawer at this level of football, and they were just too young."
Although Fergie said he was 20, Wootton is actually 21. That's a year more than Phil Jones, and older than Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling when they broke into the first team.

Im surprised that Liverpool really didn't make a fist of it last night, the League Cup would be there only realistic route into Europe next year no ???

Only if you win it or your opponent qualifies through league placing. If you're in the final ofc.

A la millwall.

That was a cracking game Weds night, great entertainment.
Chelsea tried to lose it by gifting them 2 goals, you simply can't fanny around with it like Luiz & Romeu did when you're up against a very experienced midfield and pacey forwards, you just get rid of it, Cech shouldn't have passed to Romeu I guess for the 1st goal too.
We desperately need another striker, Piazon simply isn't ready, he hasn't really done much in his 4 LC appearances and Sturridge is just baffling, he's got the talent undoubtedly but is so far up his own arse he can't see his teammates.

Lee mason had a good game I thought, it can't have been easy for him with all the farce & fallout from Sunday's game and got most decisions right & let's be honest no-one ever gets them all. The only thing he missed was the handball but 2 penalties v Man.U. is a rarity so I can't complain;)

The idiot with the monkey gesture will get what's coming to him, the game was sold out before general sale so the seat would've been bought by a ST holder or member, so assuming he didn't get it off a tout, it should be easy enough to identify him.
Unfortunately in his situation & once he's found guilty in a court of law, all the Club can do is ban him for life and what's even worse is that the Crown will probably only give him a £200 fine like the recent Man.U. fan or £1000 like I believe the Spurs fans got, pathetic.
There was talk of bottles being thrown at Pea, that's utter fantasy BS.
Someone chucked a programme on to the pitch when he scored, narrowly missing him by 15yds, it's still propa nawty though.
I'm quite surprised by the lack of outrage in here at the behaviour of some Man.U. fans, not all of course, I won't generalise.
I thought at least the media & the Righteous Brothers would've been fapping furiously right down to the salt in their nads about them:confused:
Suffice to say I hope Man.U. identify and punish the 'fans' who threw a firework in to Kindergarten's area and lit a flare in the stand & they spend the rest of their days having to watch crap streams with the idiot who ran on the pitch.
I didn't see the apparent coins being throw at Luiz so won't comment on that.

He said realistic!

tbh unlike last season when Liverpool didn't have a prayer getting into Europe with their league position this season may well be different, Spurs are a shambles, I dont see Newcastle having as good a season as they did last season, Chelsea will obviously finish top 4, Arsenal will probably join them so I can certainly see Liverpool finishing 5th. Might be between them and Everton....

Pretty much, we have been unfortunate compared to the others and we aren't miles behind, then again last season we were just 'unfortunate' hitting the post while playing well, turned out we got ****ter and that bit of luck never came.

On the idiot making the gesture:
