Capital One Cup Quarter-Final ** Spoilers ** [16th -17th December 2014]

Decent performance. Still **** defensively but that's a given, but we continued from the weekend to look like a much better attacking side. Really happy for Sterling to get his goals and Markovic to score his first too - he's starting to show why we spent £20m on him.

Poor from our midfield for their goal. Pigeon picked up on the space between our midfield and defence at the weekend, which was somewhat understandable when we're chasing the game. When we're 3-0 up and have a out and out DM in the side, it's not. I have no idea how or why Lucas got caught so far ahead of Gosling. And I ****ing wish Brad Jones would wait until he has a rough idea where the ball is going before he dives! He dived past the ball and that's why he got his hands in a mess.
Not sure I've seen anything to suggest he has the skills required in the middle. Seems such a waste of his pace when he always seems to torment full backs.

Cheers Pidge ;)

Let's be honest Chelsea were going to make the final regardless so no real downer getting them in the semi's.

Yep. We were going to have to face them either way if we were going to win it, barring a big shock. I think we've got a better chance over 2 legs and potentially with Chelsea not fielding a full strength side.

Rodgers better not be a massive **** and keep playing Jones, its taken two games to show that he's already made two massive errors.

Disappointed but not shocked.

Also Aknwick injured now too, has a team been down to fourth choice keeper having to start in premier league history before!? :p:(

Two? Culpable in all 4 goals he has conseded:

1 - Dives before shot is even struck.
2 - If thats Migs, people would be moaning all day long about how is routed to his line.
3 - Starts to dive and is subsequently well out of position for the actual shot.
4 - Seems to have a massive ball shaped hole in his hands .

Terrible, terrible keeper. Seems to be immune from flak though. Add into his inability to actual save anything, his distribution is worse than Mignolet!

I couldnt resist:

That's like a tallest dwarf competition.

Harsh to blame him for Utd's 2nd but all the other 3 he was at fault for. I noticed a couple of seasons back that he guesses and dives early but he's taking the **** these last 2 games. He should have saved Bournemouth's goal regardless yesterday but the reason why he gets himself in such a mess was because he dived past the ball.
