£20m wasted on Pelle and Long, we are so bad at buying strikers.

Hopefully they'll gel eventually but we have been abysmal.
 
Januzaj was great last season, isn't looking too promising under LVG though would be ashame if he doesn't reach his potential.

And yeah the passing has been horrendous

He was great against Swansea, and relatively decent against Sunderland.
 
Why is LvG putting out this second string team though? There's no European football to worry about, he must want to progress in all the trophies he can and surely he could be using games like this to test his first team with the tactics he is trying to employ.

We have a lot of injuries, no point putting more pressure on the squad. It's a chance to see if fringe players like Keane, Powell etc are ready to play a part.

Because we already have half the first team injured and these are the sort of games where lower league teams can get a bit excitable and put in some tasty tackles. We can't afford to lose any more first choice players.

Good chance to take a look at some youngsters as well.
 
That was good from Janko. Did what Valencia told him. If you are ahead of your man, check your run so that you can make sure that your cross doesn't beat the first man.
 
I mean if lvg starts with two losses and a draw in his first 3 matches. Or even draw draw lose like. Lvg has to be under pressure right?

With the brand in a bit of trouble can we afford these kind of result? We should have set a team up to win with a couple of youth.

I guess the only issue with that is that it becomes embarrassing if you still don't win.
