Not the result we wanted but an excellent performance. Sterling and Coutinho the standouts again but the Can experiment needs to end. Looks comfortable on the ball further up the pitch but not under pressure at the back. Desperately need Sturridge back
I would like to see any defender comfortable marking between hazzard & costa
Got to agree here , he's been ****ing ****e and got praise before but today even when he passed the ball away he somehow won it back within about two seconds.
Best performance of the year that actually (bar the finishing, so I guess it isnt ><), but how much of that was down to Mourinho getting it pretty badly wrong I don't know, or maybe he trusts Courtois that much

and put who there? Can has been great for a stand in id rather him there than Lovren!
His best of the year for me but I don't know if that good, maybe if there is a repeat in the away leg. Would be fitting since his career fell off a cliff last time we played them in the league cup
Lovren needs to be sold sharpish, cb's look more assured as does Mignolet now the walking calamity is out the side.
Best part of the match?
Yes. I thought it was quite amusing (and so did the people I watched the match with) when that happened Costa clearly was trying to run in to Skrtel whom left his elbow up for Costa to back in to.
Liverpool were much the better side, dominant, but let down by the lack of a 'proper' forward or goal scorer.
Atkinson was terrible. Chelsea seemed to do what they wanted. Such a weak referee, yet not nearly the worst referee in the league.

Yet another ****ing awful away performance littered with misplaced passes and giving the ball away even when not under pressure, Mikel being the main culprit.
Apparently it was one of if not the best performance by Liverpool this season and we've now got a slight advantage after one of our worst performances, could be worse.
