We'll probably loose and Tummy will go ape :(

Then again I would love to win on the off chance we draw the winner of Bradford vs Burton as either would be hilarious to go to mid week!

Is it four now? Sounds harsh but thank god!

Our reserves team would have been destroyed by an inform team. We will be stuck playing most of the bit part players and some kids from the academy (who all look the same). As a reserves team they didn't look amazing against Stevenage (all looking at Seaborne) and I'd expect Wednesday to give us a harder game.

I don't like Tuesday night games as I can't go but luckily all our CL home games are on Wednesday this year & I know which ones I'd rather miss.
Having said that, Cesar & Marin should get debuts which I'd like to see & Piazon might get a start if Surridge isn't fit.
We don't want to get dumped out too early though as we need these games to give the newer players game time so have to be careful.

I wouldn't count on us giving you a hard game.

Dave Jones thought it was a good idea to basically make huge changes to a team who were playing well together and winning, we made 6 changes last game and as many in the previous games.

None of the players have confidence, understanding or any form at the minute. I expect us to get tanked.

Should be an interesting game Wednesday, dunno how Newcastle will approach the game but I suspect we'll probably have something like 11 changes from today's game. I reckon we'll line up something like...

--------------De Gea--------------
Keane---Vidic---Evans---Buttner
--------------Fletcher--------------
------Cleverley-----Anderson------
Powell-----Hernandez-----Welbeck

Hopefully Henriquez will feature at some point also

It'll be the Europa team and we'll get bummed :p

You say that but Newcastle have done a lot better against us since your promotion, we've only actually beaten you once and that was your first game back in the PL

Oh god :(

I was terrified because it's the type of game we would mess up. Dave Jones getting in a bit of a muddle seems to help a bit though.

Maybe Fergie will play Nani on Wednesday, as I cant see him playing in the EPL / CL any time soon after the last couple of performances :D

--------------Lloris
Smith - Caulker - Dawson - Someone?!
--Huddlestone - Carroll
Townsend - Siggy - Dempsey
-------------Mason

I was wondering whether Rooney might actually play, Fergie said prior to the Liverpool game that he should be okay for 'next week', he's got a great goal scoring record against Newcastle as well so it could be the perfect game for him to kick start his comeback....

yeh i'd go with that. though i'd prefer cudicini and keep lloris for the euro games also maybe put huddlestone as cb and caulker left back. is naughton injured or loaned out?

i am starting to think townsend may have some potential, he's very quick and looks powerful. i'd like to see falque get some minutes too, could rest sig and play him instead. however, sig is starting to worry me a little, i'm not sure he's going to be anything groundbreaking tbh.....

the quotes I heard seemed to imply he meant the spurs match - although I could be reading things into it that arent there. Maybe start with Welbeck / Chicharito and gives Rooney a 20 minute run out or something (depending on how the match goes).

I think Sig needs game time, Naughton is/was injured, left the Lazio game in a protective boot....

Townsend I think could be quite good, hes come on a lot since he made his debut, but must be willing to get small pieces here and there and not have an ego about it...
