Fairly good first half, should be about 3-0 had it not been for good goalkeeping from the Newcastle keeper and a shocking finish from Cleverley. Anderson deserved his goal, been one of the best players on the pitch oh and if it wasn't obvious before now Rooney > RVP when it comes to passing

Because of the defence we have out though Newcastle still well in this game.....

EDIT: Very promising first half from Fletcher on his return as well

spurs 1 up at HT. we sound woeful though.

Stick Gomes on, that should liven things up.

How did Spurs ever sign a player of Vertonghen's quality? Every time I see him play, he seems to get better and better. Great tackler, looks composed on the ball, plenty of pace and is a decent attacking threat.

Mulumbu definately could've seen red there, high, studs up and going in fairly hard.

Definitely a red

Why shouldn't they?

Trollin?

Yesil should've went down to get that blatant shove, damned if you do, damned if you don't, what an absolute ****ing farce

No, I'm a Spurs fan.

He's a fantastic player. Why would such a good player wish to join a team that's not in the Champions League? I can't think of a team in England that he wouldn't improve - especially as he seems to versatile. We got lucky and I'm glad.

I've mentioned it loads - if you don't go down, you don't get the foul. Yesil's clearly fouled and knocked off balance but because he's tried his best to stay on his feet, the ref doesn't give the foul.

Not sure how Mulumbu's still on the pitch. A shocking challenge that the ref didn't even deem worthy of a booking
