Is there any way of capturing and retaining a YouTube video clip?

The clips in which I am interested are training videos which I want to be able to view off-line . . . honestly :)

Firefox addons should do most of the work if not all of it. Flashgot paired with Down them all and then select the video you want to dl. Or if you are lazy then Video Download Helper or something like that. Then there is a probably a conversion addon also but it's probably worth downloading a freeware conversion app for the future as .FLV isn't the nicest file type to play. Just google free video converter and the convert to a common video file type like .avi or .mp4.

DownloadHelper can grab them. That's a Firefox addon I use. Works perfectly. Also VLC Media Player can play FLV files.
