Looking for a unit that has Nav (inc TMC), bluetooth, mp3, ipod integration and DAB.

Single din with screen or double din......any ideas?

Pioneer Avic Range, you won't do any better, however DAB is an addon module iirc.

Only issue, apart from the high cost is how the unit would look in the GT dash.

The double din looks sweet in the dash so am leaning towards double

I would get the double din unit, i've got the single din Avic X1R-BT and have room to fit a double din, the only thing thats putting me off upgrading at the moment is leaving the double din on show in the car when i park up.

That's what I'm concerned about too. Not so much with where I live but when parked up in other places

Yep same ere, i've been thinking about upgrading for a while, might pop into a Pioneer store and have a look, perhaps the front pops off the more expensive versions?

tbh mine does everything i want other than it looks aftermarket.

I'd be tempted to go on the famous auction site and look for some good deals.

You can get the Avic-D3 series for a good price now, should do everything your want and its double din (Image Above).

The Avic-D3 looks like a good price but doesn't appear to do DAB

The great thing about Pioneer is with the IP-Bus you can keep adding devices.

GEX-P900DAB & GEX-P700DAB unit will give you Dab

Looks like that Avic one just has a 2d map view, seen the kenwood that has the 3D view

Tbh i've never found the 3d view of any use at all, in 2d mode when you get close to a junction it expands the junction and shows you the way.

Pioneer looks alright, front comes off but its designed as an out of car satnav as well so not so sure about that.

Not the biggest fan of Kenwood stuff anymore, ended up spending £570 on a top of the range unit in 2001 but it was never as good as the top of the range Pioneer, found this to be true of everything since.

I'd avoid anything with a HDD in it, so that rules out the Clarion / top of the range Pioneer.

Whats the factory fit nav system like?

Didnt spot that the pioneer didn't have CD player! The 700 seems to.
