Car chargers

I have seen a load of car chargers for netbooks and laptops around on the internet.

However looking at my Aspire One netbook, it requires 19v DC at 1.58A

How is a 12v Car battery going to charge something that requires 19v?

The same way you can power 240V AC from a 12V DC battery, it uses a (Cant think of right work or term! too long at work . . . .) at least, an inverter.

ah ok, i was concerned it wouldn't work - i'm looking for a solution to power my netbook while touring on my bike.

I think transformer is the word you were looking for. (inverter converts between AC and DC which is not required here

)

Yeah, blame 12 hour shifts, my brain just tends to shut down once I come home
