My dear wife is learning to drive "later in life" and is getting on all rather well. She has taken the Automatic route - theory all passed and test booked (May - but instructor thinks she'll be looking for cancellations before then).
I'm looking to buy her first car, something in the £3k - £4k range - nothing particularly big etc.
Right now I'm favouring a VW Polo - 2006-2008, 1.4 Petrol, 50k - 80k miles - this seems to tick all the boxes, should be relatively cheap to tax and run around in, insurance will be what it will be, but I suspect one of the cheaper to insure.
Is it worth me taking a look at anything else? Did initially start looking at Honda Jazz - seems similar year/miles.
