Pick it up on Friday.

I know it'll divide opinions but I like it and it'll be cheap to run (which I want whilst I get some cash together).

It's a Civic EX (sat nav/bluetooth etc), 1.8 vtec engine..

Bit of a change from the FTO.

very nice, and as mentioned the wheels are very nice, not my choice of colour if you intend on keeping the car for awhile, what with the old red fadin and stuff.

Still like it tho

(btw the wing mirrors are broken ;))

And looks like they forgot to put handles on the rear doors ;)

Must say though this shape Civic is begining to grow on me, absolutely hated it when I first saw pics, but having seen a few in the flesh now, I think that they aren't to bad at all.

Shall be keeping it 3 or 4 years, by then I'll either have cash behind me for something obscene or i'll be living in a city and won't really need it.

I don't expect the red to fade, it's garaged/will be washed, polished, sealed and waxed regularly.

You've just spend how much on a car because it'll be cheap to run?

TCO including car, insurance and fuel (for up to 15k miles per annum) is about £4000 per year based on the car being worth 6-7k in 3 years time.

I consider that cheap.

how much power does the 1.8 v-tak get?

v-tak, is that like variable bluetack or something?

I'd rather have an FTO or about 200 other cars since I think its sooooooo ugly, but if you like it then congrats and enjoy :)

You can run a performance car on that

Echoed for truth, never understood one group of friends who went through a phase of selling their semi-old sports cars to repay loans and then get newer mroe expensive cars to replace them, also on even bigger loans.

4k a year you could buy an FTO every year, run it, then flog it and the whole year would have cost you not a lot :)

I like it, very much so. I hated the new civics when they first came out, but a few have changed my mind, yours being one of them. Im not too sure about yours justification for buying one, but its a nice car all the same.

I saw a red one today, they look great.

First ever Honda I've liked.

I love the hidden door handles, shame the 159 lost them.
