car insurance help

Hi

Recently got my car insurance quote threw the post and i was amazed that its risen about £300 more than last year! , although i did have an accident which was unavoidable with a deer , but i still have protected no claims?

Anyway can anyone give me some advice on what websites to check for the cheapest prices?

Renewals are always hiked up in price in the hope you wont bother shopping around.

Do some confused/compare the meerkat quotes and ring around. While the price of insurance has gone up, you should be able to get a similar quote to last year.

I've had this with Admiral as well.

Bunged my details into MoneySuperMeerkat.com and low and behold Admiral were quoting about £200 for me as a new customer. Phoned then up, and they honoured the cheaper quote. The odd thing is the next year they gave me a very cheap renewal quote.

Well ive managed to get my renewel down to £670 from £889 but still a lot , i think car insurance has gone up a lot though this year plus the fact i had a claim might not help!
