went out this morning to find a lovely key mark front to rear down the passenger side of the wifes focus :(

unfortunately it seems to be through the laquer so i'm not holding much hope that its going to be a cheap repair.

been a bad week for cars in our house, One of the vectras throwing a fuel pump. and has been sitting in bits since Thursday. and another one exhibiting since of impending DMF failure and now a focii needing paint. :(

will fire some pics up when she gets back from the shops and I give it a wash see how bad the damage really is.

so bleeding raging right now, bloody degenerate little scrotes with no respect for other peoples property

Its a bog standard Diesel focus,

probably because Strathclyde police have a fleet of them and in theri inedbriated state they cant tell the difference between an unmarked police car with 2 ariels and a regular focus with 1 either that or their just little gits

I would imagine just the latter, hope you can get it sorted quick. Hate to hear when these things happen.

well going to give it a wash and see just how bad it really is, but first impressions it looks like i'll be getting the full side painted, so circa £4-500 :(

Is it really worth it?
My whole street was keyed a while back. It'll cost well over £500 to sort my passenger door and rear arch.
I'll never get that money back when it comes to sell so I just live with it.
Although the fact I rarely go round that side and the car's silver helps..

yeah just recently bought the car and the wife plans on keeping it for another 18-24 months

obviously not going to be worth going through the insurance though, £300 excess and increased premiums for 4-5 years so i guess it will be my pocket feeling the hit

Chipsaway can do a decent job at repairing it. Mine, which was around 50cm long and down to the primer as well cost £150ish.

wee update, off to see a professional detailer type tommorow to see what can and cant be done, hopefully a bit of wetsanding and other detailer black magic will see it right :)

Let us know mate,

Someone keyed my car other month (bumper, tailgate and rear quarter) To say I was ready to actually murder at the time is a understatement.

Still need to get mine sorted, The tailgate and quarter don't look too deep but the bumper is down to the plastic :(

wifes absolutely livid,

will post up before and afters if my detailer can do the business

Was reading on the Evening Times website about a street full of cars got their wheels slashed (at least 2, some 4) the other night. Round the corner from that a couple of Audi's & Merc's got their windscreen smashed in. It was up the West End rather than your area, but just shocking how many little toerags there are around!

Hope it's not too pricey sir!

This will be the cheap bill of the weekend regardless,

just been violated by the feel of it for a diesel pump on one of the Vectras :(
