& I am ******* livid. In the past 8 years I have had my car vandalised twice only & both have been when I was parked in the same area. Once the windscreen wiper was ripped off (the arm not just the blade) & now it has been keyed down the entire passenger side

Ranting aside for I will be doing that at great length away from this forum so I can clearly expressed my annoyance, what can I do to sort it out aside from getting it resprayed as my car just isn't worth the cost. Some of the scrapes don't look overly deep so would that be something t cut could sort out? Have never used it so have no idea what it actually does.

You'll be wanting:

1) Paint to match your car.
2) A fine brush, like art brush.
3) Primer.
4) 4000 Grit wet and dry sandpaper.
5) Clearcoat.
6) Polish.

....and a guide on what to do, that I'll try and find.

T-Cut wont fix a keyed scratch.....I don't think.

Sorry to hear that Cemetery, know how you feel though. Our cars have been vanilised so many times that that the slightest noise outside has me awake and checking on them. Had attempted brake ins, mirrors stolen,, broken windows, trim forcibly removed, foot prints up the bonnet and across the roof and window wipers total torn off. Its cost plenty to put all of this right and i suspect someone may be stealing enough parts to try and build a car of their own!

Really need to get out of this area as im absolutely sick of this crap :( .

From what I understand the best thing to do in this situation is make a "Naughty Person Trap". This consists of you standing by your car and saying to the naughty persons as they walk by "Great job on this car, did you do it? I would like to reward you with twenty pounds as I dislike the owner".

Now, whether they did it or not, if they admit to the crime, you may legally* punish them however you see fit**.

* illegally

** sticks and stone and lawnmowers

Seriously though i'm sorry for your loss, i'm sure someone is walking past my offside frong wing with a sandpaper bag every day at my flat.

I have exactly the same problem as you, the full length of the drivers side across all four panels  shame cheap houses are in bad areas. I have been told that as the scratch is white its not gone through the primer and that you can buy paint coloured polish that will fill it in.

I was advised not to try a touch up pen as its not fine enough and leaves too much paint on the surface, but if your feeling brave give it a try.

Horrible feeling, I've been there. Not my car but I was driving it and it was still uncalled for vandalism. :(

What car are we talking about here op?

Europe should legalize guns just like the USA, so we can shoot the people who do this.

Sorry to hear it happened.

Has to the worst feeling in the world. You feel stupid for parking it there, annoyed that you didnt catch the little ****, pay for it redoing. Meanwhile your car never feels the same anymore, and you will always notice it no matter how well its done up. :(

I had mine done about 8 years ago, im smug in the knowledge that the little **** who did it is probably now 20 ish leading a miserable existance on some council estate.

Car is only an s reg fiesta, not even like it is a trophy car to key if there is such a thing.

Have put some pictures up on facebook which I think people should be able to see from this link without an account:

I have less than zero skill in fixing things like this & I assume given that it has gone right through that if it gets wet rust may be an issue? How can I prevent that as I look for some quotes to find out how much this will cost to sort? Also, anyone want to hazard a guess how much this will cost?

Oh no - another one. I feel bad for you. My Chipsaway guy should be here any moment to provide a quote for mine.

I just don't understand what they get out of doing this!!

Stealing a car to sell for money i can understand **BUT NOT CONDONE** but petty mindless vandalism? Its like the kids that smash phone boxes and bus stops?! Why not just do gatso?

Very sorry for you pal.

Is yours better or worse off than mine? Mind saying how much they quote(d) you?

Guy from chipsaway didn't want to do it. To get to blend in the front door would also have to be sprayed slightly too. Reckons £300 + VAT at a decent bodyshop :-(

I might get it done, flog the car and drive to work in an old banger. I can't be doing with either driving around in a nice car looking scratched and grotty, or having to shell out 3-400 quid every so often when someone decides to have a little fun.

I really do feel like killing the little mother ****** that did this. The car is worth less than £1k now so if yours was similar to this then that is about a 3rd of what the car is currently worth just to fix what some ****ing scrote has done for a laugh.

ARGH

If I just leave it, what is going to happen?

If it's not down to the metal, it won't rust.

My 205 got keyed a few weeks ago, but luckily most of it polished out with a toffee wheel. Even tho my car isn't worth much to someone in terms of £'s, it's worth a lot to me, and it makes me angry.

I've got a few other scrapes that are down to the primer, and I've left them... it's not really worth spending lots of money on my banger tbh. :o
