As per title when the car is idle it will make a noise similar to the cry a pheasent or swan or other small bird would make, easiest way to describe it :D.

It will make the squeak every 30 seconds or so?

It can't be the Aux belt as that was changed a while back and my car has been making this noise for a while.

Not a major issue it just sounds like I've picked up some half dead roadkill under my bonet while I'm pulled up at the lights.

Ideas?

For the record I have checked there are no half dead animals lodged anywhere :p

clutch release bearing makes a noise when clutch is pressed I thought??

Could be the input shaft bearings on the gearbox as the helical cut gears push the two shafts away from each other when the clutch is engaged clutch in shuts it up.

normaly be a more constant noise

My Calibra had both these issues lol

I briefly showed a mechanic it today and he said leave it till it gets worse LOL. Obviously no help whatsoever, you'd thought he would have been quick to 'diagnose' a fault with it.

It has been doing this since I got the car so It cant be anything major as surely it would have gone by now :p
