ok I dont know if this is in the right forum but here goes any way.
Iwant to build a car pc was just wondering if you guys have got any ideas......

Thats cheating. I think he could do with a very low power/size VIA motherboard and chip (OCUK don't sell them, look elsewhere). They come with on board video aswell. Then hook that up to a 12V DC to DC power supply and small touchscreen tft. Oh and be careful with your hard drive setup, you will need some kind of shock absorbers.

depending on how much space you need it might be a good idea to go with compact flash cards for storage as vehicles and hard drives dont always mix too well :(
 
I am looking for something smaller than a laptop ie a single din motorised 7inch screen. I want it for dvd divx music and monitoring my car sensors ie speed temp etc.

Just as a temporary measure... what would I use to monitor my speed etc on my laptop?
