Car problem...

Just a quick one before I go to bed, just finished work and am worn out.

I was just driving back from work down the motorway, car running fine with no problems, all of a sudden I get vibration on the steering wheel and the car pulling to the left. I hit no holes, no bumps, nothing at all...was just trundling along at a steady 70'ish in the middle lane.

My first thought is a flat tyre, pull to hard shoulder, check all tyres, they all look fine with no problems.

I cautiously pull away, drive the remaining 2 miles of motorway and 3 miles through town. All the while the car is pulling to the left, vibration and shuddering up the steering column getting worse.

Had to make a few hard right turns on the way home, was pretty hard to get the car to turn right. In my mind, it feels as though the left wheel is wobbling, that's the only way I can descibe it.

Any idea's what this might be? I'm going to call around some local garages in the morning, try and get the car in somewhere asap as I need it for work and back.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Nope...sorry to spoil the fun, didn't fall asleep and no badgering involved.

Just got back from the garage, the driver side coil spring is broken at the bottom where it sits, got it booked in to fix tomorrow. Have been told it's safe to drive in the meantime, will just be a bit juddery :)
