Car purchase issues (I did not want working rear calipers with 400bhp anyway....)

So you've only had the car a few weeks, they shouldn't be claiming via the warranty company for a fault that was known prior to selling the vehicle, if you were to make the warranty company aware of this, they may reject the claim.

I've learnt after dealing with main dealers that they are just as sneaky and untrustworthy as Fred in a shed car sales. I would never trust a dealer again

I've also learnt never to accept a car until all known issues are sorted prior to collection. It was a nightmare for me to get the work done and experience i'll never repeat.

Unfortunately you are unable to.reject the vehicle at this stage, you need to give the dealer the opportunity to rectify the issues. Should they continue not to rectify or appear unable to rectify then you can reject the car and claim your money back, though you may need legal clout for this.

Holy thread update.

Garage says the callipers were working when I got the car hence warranty claim..but claim limit is cost of vehicle.
This would boil my pee, it's irrelevant they failed in 100 miles and a couple of weeks after you bought it so the fault was already there. They're now using your money to fix it effectively.

I thought the 5 litre came with 4 exhausts as standard?

Holy thread revival batman.

It's back, collected it Thursday. So it took them... 6 weeks a and a bit, the highlight was 3 weeks in them ringing say the parts were in then 2 days after realizing, they needed another caliper. (I think this was miscommunication between the new servicing guy and the usual one)

Plus side, properly valeted, stone chips done.

One down side. Service due October 1st. Mot end of November.
Handbrake works though at least....

Glad to have it back. Found the X trail an odd car really. Will post a pic of both in show us your motors, but here's the car back on its spot:
