We are going to playa blanca lanzarote in feb, flights and hotel done and have coach transfer included free but we are keen on travelling round the island and want to rent a car. Considering to get something at the airport for the whole time and any recommendations of good ones or ones to avoid there. Have seen there's some options for in town or hotel rentals but they appear to cost fair bit more.
Just after some thoughts/experience from those that have been and any recommendations of good ones or ones to avoid.

I used Ok Mobility when last in Spain, no complaints. Was the cheapest I found. I paid for a cheapo car and that's exactly what I got, it was dreadful so difficult to moan about it really but it was new, clean and had Apple carplay. Return process was quickest and easiest I have had which I think is important. They processed the credit card hold / deposit before I had boarded the plane.
Only minor gripe was I ended up with a manual, hadn't driven one for years, as they had no autos left. In hindsight probably a good thing as could wring its little neck on overtakes.

I can't remember the name of the company we used last time but I did notice a lot of people at the Cicars desk so they could be worth checking out
Autoreisen appears to get good feedback on TripAdvisor forums.

Whenever we go to Spain or Portugal we use "doyouspain", never found anywhere else that gets close to their prices. I believe they cover Lanzarote too.
They're free cancellation too, so I tend to re-check the prices every month or so, and if they've reduced I cancel and re-book.

+1 for Sixt. I use them in general but I've also used them in Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote and I've had good service and a newer model with an OK spec each time. I'm not just looking for the cheapest I can find but I don't think the premium is very high compared to the local companies.

I always use Autoreisen in Gran Canaria and Tenerife, if they service Lanzarote I highly recommend them.

They don't go over the car with a microscope looking for scratches that were there already.

Pro tip with sixt is there are countless corporate codes easily found on the internet too
