My mate sent me this , says someone has scraped his car, what do you think?

Looks like its been scraped on a wall or gate to me, thoughts?

Thanks

What's the relevance? Has he borrowed it and is now claiming somebody has damaged it?

I'd say that's damaged caused by scraping a wall or equally rough surface.

Its his car, but he thinks someone else has done it , nothing to do with any claim, but to me ,it looks a rough surface, ie drivers done it. or someone else has driven his car and not told him he has scraped it.

How would he not notice if he'd drove it into a wall? Looking at that picture i'm guessing there's at least 2/3 points of contact with whatever it collided with.

looking at the state of the alloy i don't think he's the most careful of souls

deffo looks more like an abrasive surface, e.g. wall, post, fence. something pretty hard, just look at the "hot spots" where it's gone pretty damn deep. surface is pretty damn keyed. just my opinion any ways.

unless he was parked in B&Q and someone went past with a trolley of slabs/breezeblocks :p

edit: just saw alloy too.... yikes.... yeah..... :p

Yeah the alloy seems to be the key here. He obviously doesn't judge his width very well if he's slamming it against kerbs all the time. Doesn't seem unlikely that he's scraped a wall with it too.

For the record guys, it my car!! The alloy wheels were like that when I bought it 3 months ago, although in my time I have hit a kerb or two!

Now with regards to this damage one of my work colleagues came into the office at 11am and he saw the car and it was fine. When he went to lunch at 12, he came back in and said someones scraped your car, no one had driven the car in the mean time!!

We do have big vans and pick up lorries using the yard but if someone had shown me the picture it does scream wall!

I reckon a trucks done that, some of them have quite meaty side bars to stop cars going underneath the back wheels.

Good lord! Just spotted that

They're not that bad: loads of cars have alloys with similar damage, especially if they're kept in a city. I could take a walk up my road and you'd see loads of wheels that are in far worse condition.
