Well today i decided to pop down to cooplands and get some dinner and on returning i noticed this car (Jaguar) reversing into a parking spot in front of my car. I noticed straight aways he way very close to the front of my car, we were faced front to front.

I walked in front of his car and looked at the side of my car and they was a 2" scrape along the side:mad:. The guy in the jaguar quickly got out and said ''I have not done that, I have not done that, I have sensors in my car and they did not go off'' I told him ''Clearly you did do something they is a scrape'' then he said ''well it was not me'' and walked off..

So i stand there taking pictures off his car and mine for 5 minutes and this guy comes to me and says, ''I was in front of him and me and my mate could see him hit your car and your car was rocking''. They was in a van watching him park up, the van and jaguar were face to face before he attempted to reverse into the space. Very nice of them! as they said ''I could hear him denying it to you''.

So the jaguar guy scraped my car and then lied and walked away. I have the witnesses mobile number and even though the scratch was relatively small i have reported him to police for been a *******.

The police are investigating and have the number plate ID. I don't think they can do much and paying my excess to claim would be pointless £350, I would say the damage is £50-80.

Is they a way i can claim off his insurance?, I know the police are getting his insurance details from him:(.

£350 is my car insurance excess that i have to pay in making a claim, then i think they get the cost from his insurance.

Not sure to be honest.

Never claim ever if you can avoid it, even a no fault accident can lead to loading on your next policy renewal as it flags you as more likely being an accident risk, it sucks and your best off going after him for cash if at all possible

Unfortunately unless he pays for the damages directly you'll have to go through your insurance for them to claim back the damages from his insurance. This means you pay nothing now but your renewal next year will have a non fault claim on it and will put it up, mine was about £70.

Do you own a tire iron? If so, go to town on his Jaguar, then wait for him to come back. Then when he turns up and finds the smashed remains of his car, shrug your shoulders and deny you had anything to do with it.

You're right, they don't. But I'm a vindictive little ****. :)

Contact your insurance, they will give you an answer on the matter.

You have witnesses, mobile numbers and now the police have a official report of the incident. His insurance will have to pay out. You won't pay a penny unless costs go 50/50, very unlikely.

This. Another thing, does the pub have CCTV?

Edit: It was a pub right, or am I making this up?
