Car screeching.

So I got home earlier, with some sunlight still to spare. Turns out the little oik that changed the tyres last used a windy gun on the MCGard key and wrecked it, so I couldn't get the bloody tyre off.

I pressed on, jacked the car up and turned the wheels so I could see behind it. Had a poke around couldn't see anything obvious, but any poke or push would cause a squeak. Spun the wheels and the screech would happen.
It appears that somehow, the disk guard was touching the disk rotor (WTF) so bent it all back in place.
Screeching and squeaking has now all stopped, even when humping the corners of the car.

Still, booked the car in to get these blasted locking nuts removed. Unfortunately, these have a spinning shroud so the reversed thread tool won't work.

Yea that happened with a set on an old car of mine, action I took to work on the wheel i needed to was to smash off the spinning shroud and then get a socket slightly smaller and smash it over the locking nut. 15 mins of messing about with a 1 meter pry bar and it was off.

Sod trying to get the thing out of the socket after though, nothing I have tried has released it yet so one socket per wheel nut seems to be the way.

I still have the thing here, one 24mm socket smashed over the top of one of those spinning lock nuts:
