Car Spec's

Hi Folks

Where is the best place to get the specifications of a car?

Guy at work claims he has a 1.9TTDi Golf MK4. and is running 150bhp.

As it is a Match I dont think its near that, pluss have never heard of a Twin turbo diesel golf.

So is there any websites i can use to check the spec's?

It won't be twin turbo. It's highly likely he's "remapped" it to 150bhp though

He only got it last thursday. and when he was showing me the advert it had 1 previous elderly owner on Auto trader.

Hes 18 and a serial ***** slaverer. he will be lucky if it lasts a month the way he drives.

We just want to prove how much rubbish he talks and put him down a level as we are all bored of his storys and fabricated tales

It'll be a 110 surely? Only the later GTs kicked out that much.

There is a 150bhp Mk4 TDI Golf. Never released in 'Match' form as far as I know however there was a 100bhp Match 1.9 TDI, so he could have remapped it.

No such thing as a twin turbo diesel mk4 golf unless someones modded it.

Thats what we thought. my days of looking at/ modifying cars are past so I dont have a good knowlege of output figures anymore, but one of the guys here reckons between 100-115.

I know hes just a kid but its persistent talking junk and driving like a moron that makes everyone want to prove him wrong.

PD100 remaps to around 145bhp.

Later? Match was one of the later trim levels and ran until end of production in 2004.

I am saying the later 2001 - GTs would have that much. I'm not disputing the lifespan of the Match trim level.

what's the reg? you can easily check the (std) specs on t'internet

if it's a match then it's more than likely to be a crap model as match wasn't available on the most powerful models afaik
also, twin turbo belonging to an elderly driver? lol

if you're going to stick on another turbo, a 100bhp engine isn't a great starting point

I disagree. He needs to be told that he can extract at least 200BHP.

Then wait till he goes bragging about his 250BHP re-map.
