Anyone work for a company who specialise in car valeting?

Have been offered a full time job doing car valeting and was wondering what its like?

I know its more advanced than just washing the car inside and out so id like to know a little more about it.

it involves detailed internal cleaning, vacuuming, brushing sweeping, buffing up the dashboard etc. You can charge a fair bit more to dog owners if the car is full of hair, however a lot of valets will not touch a car thats covered in dog hair. (it can ruin your equipment etc and its a right pain to tidy up)

Don't work for one but use a company. To be honest it looks like really hard work and I imagine you are under intense pressure to get it done in a certain time.

For the £25 they charge us, wash and polish outside, carpets vacuumed and washed, interior all clean, I imagine the guy who actually does it gets paid very little above minimum wage. They supply all the equipment and cleaning materials and come to our premises!

I wouldn't do it for the £25 we pay them!

In my experience they do a bloody thorough job

All inside vacuumed and polished and outside is polished/buffed and even the wheels were done immaculately

Seems like very hard work! As they say above they do it very quickly and probably for not much cash

Well ive just spoke to them and they have told me i would be based at Audi.

Half 7 - 5 mon - thurs, half 7 - half 2 friday and 8 - 12 on a saturday.

£7.56 basic rate, saturday goes to £8.10

So il give it a go :)

whats wrong with those hours?

last few jobs ive applied for were offering half 9 - 6ish everyday.. stuff that, id rather start and finish early

But you WON'T be finishing early, you will be finishing at 5, yet starting early.

FWIW, I work 07:30-15:30 or 08:00-16:00. 7.5 hrs a day (30 minute lunch) 37.5 hrs a week (well technically only 36.5 but that's because we get to leave an hour early on Fridays).
