Car Wars

Until the thief comes at you with a knife demanding the code :(

Hence the 'most'. Unless they know about the specific BlackJax system on your car they wouldn't demand the code anyway. It's a very secure system. I see it this way, a thief breaks in, nicks the keys and starts the car. By the time they've left the house you could have made your escape and called the police.

There should also be a dummy code so when its entered the car stops and locks after a short while .

The way blackjax works is, if you don't enter the code, the car will run for so long (about a minute or two iirc) and then cut out.

Exactly, giving the thief the false belief that he has the car enabling you to escape safely from the 'scene'. I installed it on a Fiesta before and I'll be looking to fit it to my ST soon. It's such a simple concept yet I fail to see when it wouldn't work.

my thread lives on :D i watched this again still shocked to see what lengths people got to get a car the worse part is when they tell u the sentances of the criminals featured in the program not nearly enough 3 years for the guy who had been committing crimes since 94 i mean WTF.

I just love that bit in the show when the penny drops about the fourtrak they have found obviously isnt the one with the tracker in, so funny.

That guy is comedy gold, on the motorway - "everyone else is sat there wonderin' what to do - we're foot down!"

I quite enjoyed watching the police chase repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat car thieves. Leave them to rot in prison with the rest of the scum this country is overwhelmed with.
Yep. This is why there is so much car crime (and all kinds of crime) - weak sentences which have no deterrent. We are obviously catching these people. Well once we've caught and convicted them a few times, don't let them out again. One less scumbag on the streets plus a warning to others who would do the same.
