Car Wash with Spoilers?

Talking of car washes, I once watched someone take his car through a car wash with his drivers window down. I don't know what was going on, but he was frantically attempting to roll it up, and it didn't work..

He looked a bit moist aftwards, and I couldn't help but have a good laugh.. Even though I shouldn't have..

i would take that thing through and pray that it gets damaged enough to be written off

Just to point out that although the spoiler looks like an aftermarket creation, it is actually a factory standard piece.

Btw what car do you own?

Why are you asking me this? It's your house...

If thats standard then i'll take back my comments :(

Got a triumph dolomite sprint but its in about 1000 pieces at the minute while i get it sorted

Maybe I'll post something sensible now. The back window in my Anglia slopes the other wa to normal cars. When I took that through the car wash the brush bar thing crashed into the back of the car and started to lift the car. Handbrake came off at that point and I sped out the carwash :D

It's the standard spoiler on the F2 Evo models, supposed to be a 'functional' spoiler rather than the merely cosmetic spoilers found on the other Coupes.

Theres a place in fishponds near me thatll do a quick wash and wax of the car to a decent standard (better than iv ever been able to achieve tbh, im rubbish at it) for £5, they do services all the way up to £75. Iv seen a £20 all over in and out and it looked better than anything i had ever seen before excluding brand new car showrooms

I wouldn't take mine through a mechanical car wash.

That spoiler might be functional but its bloody ugly :p

If it wasn't for the fear of swirl marks and damaging the paint, which I didn't care about on some of my older cars, they had spoilers and it was never an issue.

However use a jet wash and a bit of elbow grease - don't use a car wash unless there are attractive ladies in bikinis waiting to do it for you.
