Well that was painfully boring for 85 minutes and then the legend Origi pulls that out if the bag. In years to come people will look back at his career and he'll be compared alongside Messi.

A side point, I'm quietly fuming with Williams for not squaring that late chance to Taki. Cost us our 3 away goal streak.
 
Why are City wearing a training kit?
Also why is Moyes actually being so good?

I know the fact we had probably won already played a part in that but such bad decision making from Williams, really think we ought to be selling him soon and having a proper back up brought in.

I was only joking tbh but agree about selling him. He's good enough to play for a PL side but not good enough for us. There were reports that the club were open to selling him but like Phillips, we were holding out for fairly big money.

It’s dead for you, but for many teams, including us, it’s a good chance of getting into the europa league.

Historically this has never proven to be the case though Rob. Arsenal will play a fairly strong side because they've got a relatively big squad and need to give players games but in years gone by, a lot of mid table PL sides have treated the League Cup worse than the big PL sides. You even see lower League sides get big draws vs top PL sides and then field a 2nd 11.

The quarter finals are set for the week before Xmas, I can't imagine many sides will be taking the ties too seriously.

Football is going to be like Basketball in a few years. FIFA "Not for the money" want to add more and more pointless internationals. I'm sure the WC will eventually run every 2 years. Same with the Euros.

If that happens and there's a tournament every summer people will just get bored of football, I am at the moment and only watch a match every now and again. Next month when I renew Sky I shall be cancelling sports, any matches I want to watch I can nip next door and watch with my neighbour (only downside is he's a Tottenham fan but the plus is we both sit laughing at Spurs together) and others I can just miss.
