Thought forest would give us a harder time at home to be fair, who cares, quadruple still on!
He's looked promising all the time I've seen him on the pitch (one or two wobbles aside).
His delivery is excellent, Weghorst should have put away that chance he whipped across.

It is 10 days till our game against Palace. Time to rest the players. No need to play a strong team against Reading or the return leg. Maybe play Casemiro in the FA cup game and rest him till palace as he has already had a weeks rest
We could lose 4-0 to Forest with Maguire and McFred playing though?
If Rashford is rested as well then that takes a big threat away.
Without Eriksen and Casemiro there is no creativity in the middle of the park, and lots of misplaced passes and gaps.
Imagine if we had VdB (surely he's able to play well in the current system?), Sancho and GWood. Things would look a lot better regarding rotation... especially if Sancho was playing well, let's hope he comes back soon...

The usual thing to do is have your star players on the bench and then bring them on if needs be. Forest didn't really cause many issues outside of our own gung ho attacking at times leaving masses of space. We can 100% play a second string against them in the fixture at OT. Probably largely similar for Reading.

It would make sense for Sancho to play against reading. Get 60 mins in.
Martinez doesn't need a rest really as he had time off after the world cup.
I also think people underestimate how well Fred can play more up the pitch. He hasn't really put a foot wrong this season.
Garnacho can easily fill in for Rashford this weekend to keep him fresh.
My main worry is the EFL cup final. We play Barcelona 4 days before.

I think the second leg team will still be strong, don't really need to rest two games in a row.
Fred not too fussed about, it's the Maguire and McT really. Especially if they put us unde pressure like they did for 15 mins or so.
Theyre back to back until end of Feb though, that's a lot of action, even with some rest in between.

But two games rest makes very little difference, if anything a break longer than a week just breaks their momentum. They don't need to play 90 mins in the second leg but we'll still play a strong team I think.
I'm pretty sure we'll put out a weaker starting XI for Forest at home, no disrespect to them, we have 3 goal and home advantage.
I'd start Garnacho, Pellistri, Fred. Bring on the big guns if we get into trouble.
