Carabao Cup SF Football Thread ** spoilers ** [7th/8th Jan 5th/6th Feb 2025]

scraps is a tad deluded but we were definitely hard done by there looking at a few of those decisions

Absolutely gash performance though

I’m sure we’ll turn this around at Anfield, but really need to up our performances, especially Tuesday, that will be the big one.

Pretty rubbish match and half arsed performance from us. Konate continued from where he left off vs Utd - sadly he always takes a few games to get up to speed. We got the totally pointless explanation with the Spurs disallowed goal but I'd love to see the ref explain how he's not given that 2nd yellow - it's about as easy a decision as you could see and to top it off, we concede while down to 10 men due to this peculiar new rule about players having to leave the pitch for 30 seconds after receiving treatment. Probably should have had a pen at the end too but it's hard to get too bothered about the League Cup until you're fielding the u23's in the final.

He never even gave a foul which is worse than not booking him. He bottled it because of the swifties in the crowd.

Not that arsed, but the bits that I did catch we seem very disjointed at the moment, Quansah going off is a bit if a worry.

How very odd, so the official reason for Bentancurs incident is "concussion", very strange I'm not even sure when that concussion happened then..didnt look like he made much contact with the ball at all, no clash of heads before that, I guess it could be when he hit the ground but it actually seemed to me that he was already out of it before he reaches the ground, no idea where the concussion came from

It looked fairly obvious to me that he clashed heads and then banged his head when he landed. Is that not what happened?

Definitely wasnt a clash of heads, there was nobody around him, if you watch this and drop the speed of the vid down, it looks like he bangs his head on the ground, I guess thats the concussion there. Weather has been cold of course and maybe even with undersoil heating etc the ground was still hard enough to cause a concussion

I saw it from the reverse angle although the quality was quite low it definitely looked like he knocked heads. Can't find the video now.
