Carbon Fibre trim

I think its nice when applied well, I saw a green e92 today with a whole carbon boot (possibly real) but thought it was overkill. :/

mirrors and a lip spoiler for me at the most, but I'm boring.
well, e93 but you know what I mean. It was this actual car, I'm guessing this has been either wrapped or resprayed.

Where it serves an actual function at improving weight reduction or structural design. Stick on tat cf bits are not improving function :p

Genuine cf roof is, for example.

I think that CF stuff is fake on that car. Look at the suspension of that poor thing, and how much the car got heavier :( :P

My M3 has a carbon boot solely for weight saving purposes as it weighs 4kg saving 15kg over the OEM boot (19kg). It's a track car but does get driven on the road (to and from track).

I had a carbon boot on the GTR too but that was because I liked the look of it and I didn't notice the difference on track as I never drove it that hard (for what it really is capable of).

Carbon because race car - Makes drivers feel like Michael Schumacher :)

It's much like pedal bikes; people spend thousands on carbon bikes thinking it will make them go faster but in reality it saves them very little time.

My carbon bike is faster, easier to climb and more comfortable than my Alu push bike plus weighs around 6.7kg compared to 10kg. Within reason it makes a difference and it's a lot smoother over the bumps but at a cost.

On most cars it purely for looks unless weight saving for a super car then it's trick.
