Hi,

I bought Impact Whey Protein from MP and I couldn't help but notice there's quite a lot of carbs in it (I think it was 11g per serving) according to the nutrition information.

However, when I went to their website and looked at the product description - there is no carbs in it (though they say the flavoured variety has up to 15% more).

I think you're getting a little confused, MP's whey has minimal carbs in it, around 1g per serving which is from lactose.

Unless you're lactose intolerant it's not even worth thinking about, it's 4 calories worth. Only a pro-bodybuilder cutting for a competition would need to consider such a minor macro.

Let me dig out the bag again. :)

If it contains 11g per 30g serving (I think that's the serving size from memory) then you've not gotten impact whey.

If you are taking the protein powder for. Us le recovery then you will want to consume a fair chunk of carbohydrates along with the protein.

It'll likely be 11g per 100g, which will break down to 2-3g per serving. Nothing to worry about, and yes it will be higher if it's flavoured, how much so depends on the flavour.

I still reckon that sounds a little high though.

11g per 100g is very high, only a really poor quality whey would be that high.

MP Impact 80% is 4g per 100g
