Carcraft gone bust

What a shame. I got my first Clio from them people.

£100 deposit and I was off. Great bunch.

Is the warranty, roadside etc. separate to the finance agreement?

Couldn't you stop paying if they are and argue you aren't receiving the service promised.

Lol thats a thought.

If you've recently purchased a car from them. Will the outstanding balance be written off?

There's no way they'd just write it off. You'd have a fight on your hands.

It may be worth trying though as they may not have the staff to chase you up, and you may have an argument if the Drive Happy Plans aren't being honoured anymore.

This is of course if the finance agreement is directly with Carcraft and not with a financing company.

No, because Carcraft isn't the lender.

Quote from the article above.

"Carcraft’s finance arm All In One Finance Limited will enter administration in the next few days."

Of course I don't know if that company actually financed everything or if it was simply a broker.

It was simply a broker. It is not the lender.

A lad posted on a local FB group recently saying he'd signed up to a CarCraft agreement for 4 years on a £6,000 Fiesta. Total owed? £12.5K :p

Was £6k the listed price?

A 4 year loan of £6k with no deposit, where you pay £260 a month is roughly a 51% APR.
