Card comparisons

I've been using GPUReview to compare the specs of cards, but I was wondering if there was more visible way to compare performance.

Something like Tom's Hardware's VGA charts, but that would, say, have all PCI-E cards compared, regardless of age.

Anyone know of something like this?

Darn, the only compare cards around the same time period.

So I can't see how a 9600 pro vs an x600 xt vs 7300gt x x800 gto would turn out :(

Depends on price but you might get lucky and be able to unlock the unused 6800le pipelines with Rivatuner. Would give it a lot more grunt straight off the bat without the need for a BIOS flash.

I was under the impression you can only unlock pipelines on the AGP 6800LE.

Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Depends on the core I think. NV40 had a chance of unlocking. NV41 didn't. Unsure if any NV40 chips made it into non-OEM PCI-E cards.

Edit: But if you can make sure it's a 7300GT DDR3 I'd go for that.

I opted for the 6800LE.

£8 cheaper than the OCUK 7300GT (which is no longer guaranteed to be DDR3, shoulda bought one the day Gibbo guaranteed if :() and it has a passive heatsink, which will be better for my gf's machine anyway.

I don't game a huge amount on her machine, and it should be a decent enough move up from a 9500 Pro.

Will prolly play on her DS Lite more anyways, hahaha.
