Card Reader Problem

Hi first sorry if this is posted in the wrong section but I just got my Akasa Internal Media Card Reader (AK-ICR-07) and when I plug in a micro sd card into the slot, it keeps saying it's write protected (can't delete/ format card). I have tried three different cards and still the same.

But when I use a normal SD card in it there is no write protection, in which can delete stuff on it.

Can someone please help me out with this issue.

Thanks

If you have a micro sd card to full size sd card adapter try that and make sure the right protect on the adapter is set to write. Try that as a test maybe it can't tell if the micro sd card is write protected by the little notch it has.

1. Start > Run > cmd
2. type "diskpart" -> runs diskpart.exe from system folder
3. type "list volume" -> now you see all your connected drives, see which one is the drive
4. type "select volume #" -> # being the letter of your drive
5. type "attributes disk clear readonly" -> removing the protection
6. Then open your SD, you can now edit, delete, move files.

Hi sorry for the slow reply, I have checked the connection and it is all in correctly.

"ExRayTed" I have tried what you've said but I still get the write protection message.

"Purgatory" When I connect the micro sd to the full size sd connector, I am able to delete and copy.
