Maybe in the wrong forum, if it is, sorry! Please move!

I'm having trouble finding a suitable card reader unit.

Main requirements are:

5.25"
Fits to headers (not loop round to the rear)
Audio ports
Fairly wide range of cards it can read
Black


USB or Firewire is optional but useful


I dont want one which has fan controllers (already have a fan controller and dont want un-used controls on the front of the pc, im picky :p )
And I don't fancy one which is a 3.25 to 5.25 conversion (just doesnt look as nice!)

eSata is one im not too sure about. I'll be using all the sata ports on my computer, so I doubt i'd be able to use it.

You'd be surprised how hard it is to find anything with these specs!

Might be interested if it comes in silver!

I would have suggested this, with the extra four removed and covered with a bit of plastic or something.

I thought about those, but having the unused fan controllers would have bugged me to no end. (and i never understood, what is the point of the bottom bit being removable? wierd!)

Yes, but that doesn't stop you just telling me the make and model. :p

Its removable so if for some random reason you felt like putting a laptop drive in your system you could. I'm guessing its aimed at SFF users with a limited number of bays.

It's one of these generic jobs from Hong Kong. Have one of the generic ones in my current pc, but it's a 3.5 and has worked perferctly fine :)

(it isnt even e-sata. The non sata one is £2 more expensive, but, sod it, I dont want unused devices on my front panel!)

And that makes sense, I didnt think of it's use outside of a standard tower!
