Hi, my old HD 4870x2 card has just died. I'm wanting to replace the gfx card with something similar or better for no more than £60. Do I replace with secondhand old tech or go with one of the newer cards? Which card would you replace it with?

The rest of my specs are in my sig

Thanks

For 60 pounds Id stick a 7950 second hand in there and clock the cpu up a bit. You wouldn't be too cpu bottlenecked with one gpu if it is overclocked a tad. Though you will have to probibly put in about 80 pounds for a second hand 7950. I went from a 4870x2 to a 7950 and it was around double the performance boost. And that was back a few years ago, I got my self a second hand 7950 to crossfire with my card for 100 pounds a few months ago and it wS best thing Iv ever done
