Card Vs. monitor resolution.

hey people, I am in the course of upgrading my computer and I am considering getting an HD 2900XT as this will give me some really sweet graphics as well as DX10. However, my monitor is a sttandard 19 inch LCD VGA monitor.

Will I see a huge diffference with this next generation card? Or would it be wise to get a better monitor before getting such a good graphics card?

Well if you were thinking of getting a bigger monitor, you could always buy the 2900XT. It will run games really well on your 19" screen, and you know that even when you upgrade your monitor, the card will still be able to give good framerates at the higher resolutions.

I have a radeon x1950 pro.

Btw, thank you both for your replies, much apreciated. Thing is that my monitor is VGA. Therefore, would it be wise to get atleast a dvi moniotr before i get a new card?
