Anything obviously, glaringly stupid there? Anything missing? - I have absolutely NOTHING of my own to go with this, this is a complete build. So if there's any cables etc I'll need, please yell now. Anything you'd change?

Looks good, I would make a couple of personal changes myself. I would dump

Keyboard: Logitech G11
Mouse: Logitech MX518
Mousemat: Steelpad QcK

Go for the G15 keyboard instead and get the G5 or the G7, and then you don't need a mousemat ;)

I would never use the screen on the G15, if I'm honest. It looks like a really nice idea, but the thing that interests me with that keyboard is the macro keys, not the screen, and I can get the G11 about £15 cheaper. I am very undecided on the G5 vs MX518 issue - if it weren't for people saying that the G5 laser has responsiveness issues, it'd be G5 all the way. Hmm.

RAID doesn't interest me, seems like too much hassle. But didn't notice I'd selected 2 different harddrives, actually, cheers for pointing that out.

Arctic Freezer 7 Pro is not a budget cooler, it's a good piece of kit commonly recommended on this and many other forums, that does a great job of keeping temperatures down.

Ok then, let me rephrase - @ ComMan - it seems silly to spend £25 on something that will do not much better than an Arctic Cooler @ £15.

@ OP - Spec looks good. As mentioned above, get two identical hard drives, though. :)
 
I was just saying may aswell get a tuniq or noctua if you have that sort of money to spend didn't mean to offend anyones cooler.I had no idea the
Arctic Freezer 7 Pro was as good as the tuniq tower 120 i just looked it up and saw it was £15 so presumed it wasn't as good as the high end ones for that i

Cheers for all the suggestions, will be switching the hard drives to 2 identical ones (though not RAIDing them, until I'm convinced there's a really good case for it). Also going for a G5 rather than a MX518, because I prefer a few of its features.

I'm going to stick with the Arctic Cooler, mainly because I don't plan to overclock massively. I'll shove it up to 3GHz, maybe, but not much higher, and it's an extra £20 for anything significantly better. Money that is far better spent on alcohol and shiny things!

Decreased reliability, as one drive going kaput kills everything, possible problems with the RAID controller (a mate of mine lost a RAID setup to his mobo's RAID controller going haywire, so I'm a little...averse to them). I dunno, I just don't see it really being worth the hassle of setting up, and this, coupled with my irrational suspicion of certain things (SLI graphics cards are another), means I probably won't bother.
 
Well you are certainly correct in thinking that SLI is not very good. :D

RAID, however, is worth the effort IMO.

If I've got the time, and everything backed up (paranoid? moi?), I'll give it a go at some point, and see how much of a performance boost I get. If it's good enough to offset my distrust, I'll stick with it.
 
I wasn't able to get the HX 620, irritatingly, the site I ordered from was sold out, so I ordered the 520 instead. That should be OK for this rig, right? Don't mind having to upgrade that in a few years when something more powerful comes in.
