Carling Cup 3rd Round **Spoilers**

When i said deserved i was talking about his recent performances to the final. Like i said he had a great start to the season but from February onwards his form dropped and his goals dried up.

Good to see over 60 thousand turn up at the Emirates for the earliest round league cup tie - but don't forget folks, they were all cheated by Arsenal playing their reserve team!!

Im guessing at a heavy hint of sarcasm :)- and really support young players being blooded like this - every club in the top flight needs to do this to its reserves and youth members and its great - as to the earlier reference to poor entertainment I think you hit the nail on the head (although I grant that it was a tough match for 70 minutes or so?

hahaha, how fickle are the OOT red fans, suddenly Rafa is a fool .. i mean he's only got us to two CL finals and won it once, won the FA cup, won the Euro Super Cup,League Cup all in just 3 years (plus our youth team has won back to back FA finals) currently unbeaten with a game in hand over our closest rivals ... fustration at certain results is fine but to **** the man off this early into a season is pathetic

I'm obviously disappointed by the result but there's no denying The second goal was a cracker.

Having said that it should have been 1-1 just before their second goal but Martins missed another open goal just like he did against West Ham.

I know he's a good striker and he's frustrated that he lost his place to Owen but really he should be netting these chances. That's what he's being paid to do.

It's a bit embarrassing to be run all over the park by a reserve side, I think it just goes to show that Big Sam still has a lot of work to do and although we've had a good start to the season (bar Derby) we haven't been playing the top teams.

Last night would have been a good test of how we would perform against the top 4 if most of Arsenal's first team had actually been playing. The fact that we lost 2-0 to their reserve side doesn't bode well for our league meetings with the bigger clubs.

I think Man City on Saturday should be an interesting match, it will show whether or not the start of the season has been a fluke or not.

I'm thinking it might be worth a few quid on Hull to at least get a draw. Anyone know what odds the bookies are offering?

Thanks guys.

If it had been nearer 4-1 (or 5-1) then I might have had a cheeky punt!! ;) But it's a one-off cup game and bookies ain't stupid!

Wish the United game was on TV! Good chance to see some of the young lads :)

Anderson, Pique and Evans in particular.

I cant see how anyone is even joking about Hull beating chelsea.

Chelsea will beat them out of sight without breaking a sweat.

United: Kuszczak, Simpson, Pique, Evans, Bardsley, Martin, O'Shea (c), Anderson, Nani, Eagles, Dong.
