Carry on films are so dated

Not a fan. Never was.

I Loved abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, The Munsters and the Addams Family. I thought Dean Martin and Jerry Louis movies were fantastic!

But Carry on movies, I just felt they were quite crap.

Casual racism and overt sexism at its finest.

Just gonna leave that there, I think :)

Nobody cared about that then and I doubt whether anyone cares now. :p It hasn't aged well at all. Some of it is still good for a laugh now.

Most modern comedies are crap, and we've gained nothing for being able to actually say the f word or explicitly show bodily functions or whatever. Carry On films may not be great, but they were a damn sight wittier than most modern stuff.

I only have to watch Carry on Camping and I can laugh til the cows come home. Hattie Jacques in any of the films with her as the Matronly figure gets me in stitches.

Carry On films were dated as soon as they were made! Why don't you think they don't make them anymore?

Marx brothers, Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy are timeless. And Blackadder is still brilliant

Agree. I think that carry on camping is my fav. The farmer is great in it.

Carry on will never fail me, sid james is just too great a persona.

Guys one of a kind.

Old, not realy, though most things i grew up with ill take to the grave.

The only Carry On movie I can remember seeing is Carry on Spying, and that was ages ago. Anyone got any recommendations for others to check out, since I know they can be really hit and miss. That said, I am extremely easily amused by terrible jokes, so most of them would probably be pretty enjoyable for me.
