Carry on films are so dated

Old movies like Chaplin and L&H have a quality about them, carry on films don't.

They conform to what was acceptable at the time.

I still love Carry On films

There is no mechanism for a series of films to occur again the way the Carry On genre did.

Kenneth Williams, Sid James and Barbara Windsor werent the worst actors in the world either.

Dont mistake "old" for "bad".

Can't stand them personally, but my dad who's in his late sixties always seems to have them on when they're on tv.

The smutty/dirty old man humour isn't my cup of tea. I've smirked once or twice, but it's the same sort of gag over and over again.
