Car's gone bonkers

I have the number I just never thought they'd be there at this time of night or be able to offer much in the way of help with this sort of problem.

Oh well, I'm done screwing about with it for tonight. At least I'll be able to reconnect the battery in the morning and get it to the dealer, then it's their problem :)
 
It's a bit late now...but the main precaution you should take with the battery is to always remove the negative first, (and connect it last). This means that should you slip with the spanner and hit something grounded, you won't get a fireworks display.
