Besides, modding MX5's to look how you want is very readily available and don't cost the earth either. And at the end of the day, it should only be your opinion of the car that counts.

This has been my experiance driving an mx5, I first had one at 18 and while I expected people my age to call it gay and what not (while driving there mums and dads 1.2 corsa's and 206's) I never heard it. I also got allot of "omg how can you afford that?!"

I'm having ideas of changing it soon for something like a Z4, but im not sure if im going to be able to run one until I grow up a bit financially.

they are SO cheap now, if you can find one.
even on the continent, where 2nd hand cars are much more expensive, you can get them for around €15,000 which is an absolute bargain!

Most my mates would laugh themselves silly if I bought one of these as an upgrade to my SR. But of course there will be those who respect its sheer bonkerness and hooning ability !!!!

Good cars, apart from the gearbox and the understeer and the fact that every chav ever has fitted that intercooler scoop onto their ugly little hatchback.

Bad boy bonnet is when they extend the front of the bonnet to cover part of the headlights.
