My beautiful Caterham Seven....

Sold it to buy a Subaru Imprezza Turbo when my commute went from 3 miles (which I used to cycle) to 50 miles each way. I enjoyed the Subaru, but the Caterham was in a league of its own.... 0-60 in 4.6s !!!

regret selling my 405 mi16.

Had a great chassis, but the car & colour meant a lot to my dad, and although i sold it for profit... i regret it now.

Especially as it only had 48k on the clock.

Peugeot 106 ralllye. Sold it almost a year ago now. I had no real need to sell it, and I still don't know why I did, one thing's for sure I wish I still had it.

Owell, im guessing you wont have any videos then :(

Beaut of a 7 there!

I regret selling a Capri I had. It was a 2 litre Laser, not too much wrong with it and I picked it up for £50 and sold it for £100. Now this whole retro thing is popular I wish I'd tended to it and left it on the drive under a cover and made some $$$ on it :D

S1 or S2? Any pictures?

Personally i've only sold one car and that was my written-off 205 GT to Westy for £50 :D

Can't say I regret that though lol

I do however regret crashing my 306 DTurbo phI.

I didn't sell it but I regret scrapping my first car - my Hyundai Pony :p now don't laugh.

It cost me £0 as my grandad gave it to me when he became too ill to drive it. I kept it for 5 years whilst I was at 6th form and uni but then after I finished uni I decided to get shot of it because it got metal rot and would need serious money (relative to the cars worth) to get it through its impending MOT. So I sold it and bought a 306 (which by the time i've had it 2 years will have dropped in value by over £1.5k  )

The thing is the Hyundai was a bit of a banger so I would quite happily park it wherever I felt like, I could have fun with it and not worry like taking it down empty farm tracks at silly speeds and bringing it home looking like it had just done a WRC event. Also, for reasons I can't understand, it had an awesome exhaust note and a fairly rev happy engine.

Its for these reasons that i'm considering getting a sub £1k, maybe sub £500 car when the 306 dies.

I'd kill for a mint Mi16. Good ones fetch silly money now.

The only car I miss, believe it or not, is my Mk2 Mondeo. It was a fantastic car in every way and was absolutely mint. It was a writeoff though :p. Bought it back from the insurers for £100 and sold it for £370 on eBay. Can't complain really ;).

Only car i truly regret selling is my first Manta.. C767 HET, 1.8L coupe in silver.

wasn't particularily fast but the handling was wonderful, plus it was light silver which was a fairly rare colour for them.. and it was a C plate, which was the year before the new safety regulations came in and enforced cruddy looking side repeaters for the indicators and rear seatbelts :)

also, it didn't have a sunroof, which meant that the shell wasn't rusting out from the inside.. i part exchanged it for £200 of the price of a Volvo 480 because one of front springs had collapsed and i didn't have the tools or the knowledge to fix it :(

I still regret changing my Saab 9-3 just over a year ago. I bought an X type, but then circumstances changed and I couldn't really afford to run it. Now circumstances are better again, but I don't really have the cash to buy something nice and modern again because of the loss I made on the Jag.

You preferred your CTR to the Elise?? I went from Elise -> ITR and I'd give my right arm right now to be back in the Elise. Doesn't come even close to touching it for driver involvement and enjoyment.

I really regret selling my Defender 90. It was rubbish on fuel, a real boneshaker, but I miss it so much.

That 7 of the OP's is beautiful. I want one so badly!!!!

Removes pipe and slippers takes out pipe.
Well i regret selling my favourite all time car.
Laugh all you want but i raced in this car rode in this car and just about lived in it.
It was my beloved Mk2 Cortina 1600GT X flow of course. Little bulge in the dash for the extra clocks Dishpan rims on the back De badged and de chromed apart from a tiny strip of ally across the bonnet.
Grill was removed and two old style spots were placed in the mouth of the beast. Those ones with the blue vertical bit coming down.
I got it off a forecourt down Ilford high road of all places. At the back leaking oil with a slipping clutch on test drive.
Once home a new head gasket sorted the leak and when i looked at the clutch the bell housing bolts were missing all but three and they were loose as well. I fitted new bolts all round wanged em up with the bar and the clutch was Mint. :D
Happy memories. Other cars i have owned worth untold more money don't even come close to the character my old Tina had.

my MGB-GT (Chrome bumper version)

So much fun to drive but i was doing too much motorway driving at the time and it really wasnt suitable for that. Will have to save my pennies for another one, preferably the V8 version.

Bought a crumbly old XR4i after that and that was a great car as well. Shame it just rusted away around me, but it was nice :)
