I have a budget of around £90 for a new case, which is both for my current PC and my upgrade that I will be doing in January.

What I want out of a new case, is sufficient cooling and ventilation. My current case unfortunately doesn't offer this, and while expensive when I bought it, I don't want to make the same mistake again by buying one that's expensive and rubbish.

The main thing I want, is to be able to comfortably overclock components when I want to, and at the same time accomodate larger graphics cards in the future if I want to, for example a long card such as the ATI 5890 or having room to do crossfire etc.

The cases that interest me are:

Coolermaster CM-690 II Advanced Dominator Case - Black
Zalman Z7 Plus Midi Tower Case - Black
Antec 900 Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black
NZXT Hades Midi Tower Gaming Case - Black
Coolermaster HAF 922 Case - Black

I am just trying to weigh up which will offer me the things I want for the best value for money.

I've owned and reviewed the CM 690-II Advanced, Antec 900 and the HAF 922 and out of the list I would recommend the CM 690-II Advanced. It's a fantastic case for the money and since its the most recent out of all the bunch listed you are getting something that has features that will future proof any builds to come.

Contrary to a lot of people I didn't like CM 690 II case at all. However I've not used any of the other cases listed so I can't say if any of them are better (it's hard to imagine them being worse, but it could be a case of the grass always being greener).

If you do go for the CM 690 II case it might be worth consider the Lite version. If you don't need the extra bits (external SATA connector, GPU bracket and something else not all that useful like a fan LED or something) the Lite version may be better because at least if you don't like it (like me) you've spent £15 less on it.

Does the Lite version come with less cooling fans than the regular?
 
+1 for the CM-690. I have had mine for many months now and never thought I made a mistake. I used to buy high priced Lian Li cases in the past but this has brilliant quality too. Regarding stock cooling, I dont know the differences in the lite and advanced fans as stock, but the stock cooling you do get is not "the best". There has been far far worse stock cooling, but most people seem to upgrade after a few months. As far as I know, the stock fans are rated at 19Db. Hope that helps.
